bangladesh! bangladesh!! bangladesh!!!.... i can hear the sound of the crowd...it sounds so nice now... bangladesh claimed a historic victory against srilanka...!! the tigers beat the lions!!!... yes yes... im so happy...

First time I hear someone refer Bangladeshis as tigers... Getting rather funny images :)
Nah,I get you in the sense of Royal Bengal Tiger. But then again try to imagine a Bangladeshi as a tiger?! It doesn't match up, we dont look as fearful as the tigers, do we? I mean we can compare the Punjabis to the tigers, as they are big, tall and strong. Or the Scandinavians, which big and strong, to the bears. But Bangladeshis have more peaceful external look.

Bangladeshis are referred tiger because of royal bengal tiger being the national animal of bangladesh which featured in the logos of bangladesh cricket board.
Aha, well after reading rajputros comment everything makes sense. And the only reason I didn't know it because they don't show cricket here...

Umm... calling myself Bangladeshi wouldn't correct. Kintu nije ke antoto Bangali (not Bengali) dakhte pari.
